Promoting The Rights of Children

Education has the potential not only to make children aware of their rights but also to guarantee the enjoyment of those rights and it’s the only way for Gambian children to rise beyond poverty. Although a child may be born into a poor family, with the right education, that child can overcome poverty and learn new life lessons. The social, cultural, and economic position of children changes as a result of education. Through education, children can develop new personalities, reform attitudes and secure future careers. Politics, religion, and economics all alter as a result of education in people’s lives as well as in families lives. Education paves the way for the realization of a child’s rights to well-being and full social inclusion.

When Gambian children are educated, they will be able to fully enjoy their rights. Consequently, we invite everyone to support the Mboutou Trust Fund, which aims to provide inclusive and equitable quality education and create possibilities for lifelong learning for everyone. In doing so, we will inevitably advance the rights of children in The Gambia.
