The “MBOUTOU” Trust Fund for Education and Development is a Charitable Foundation initiated by Mr. Alhaji Sheikh Jobe as Founder and President. The trust fund was established on 22nd December 2014 with the dual purpose of sponsoring talented young Gambians in targeted regions to pursue secondary and tertiary education as well as supporting socio-economic development initiatives within the confines of the Laws of The Gambia.
The main objective of the Trust Fund is to provide funding for secondary and tertiary education and related community development initiatives in The Gambia for bright and financially needy students (especially orphans) as well as rural communities and thereby support the socio-economic development of the country.
The funding shall be full (tuition and books) and apply to both new and continuing Students and will be provided on an annual renewable basis in consideration of the needs of recipients (students) and the level of their performance. Funding will also be used for supporting valuable community development projects that are within the mission and vision of the Trust Fund.
To achieve the above stated objectives, ‘’MBOUTOU’’ Trust aims to persuade all interested individuals and employed recipients to voluntarily contribute financially to the Trust Fund thereby ensuring its financial sustainability. As this is a charitable entity, there is no fixed amount for the funding. In addition, any donor (individual or organization) who is satisfied with the mission and vision of the Trust Fund is encouraged to contribute to the Trust Fund and participate in our activities.
